This was a blast, and quite memorable. I had the privilege of renting Nicks Caddy last weekend for my wedding. Very fun. Nick made special accommodations for pick up and drop off which was extremely nice of him. The car ran well, with the exception of an exhaust leak, which just made it a little louder than Cadillacs tend to be. But that is being nit-picky. The car ran great and was quite reliable, as I believe I put almost 400 miles on it, and there was never an issue! The car is exactly as you see it in the picture; a beautiful vintage convertable, but there is no AC, no heater, no radio...but that was not a problem for us! We got tons of thumbs up and compliments on it, and it was really a blast!
NOTE to the potential renter: I highly recommend only renting this car if you are at least somewhat familiar with the "operations" of an older engine. Also, if you haven't driven a large vehicle, don't rent this. It is much harder to drive than your average corolla or civic and if you aren't prepared, you could damage it and be stuck with a large bill that you do not want to pay. Make the responsible choice.
The owner of the vehicle canceled on me 2 hours before pick up. He completely screwed us. I told him we would do ANYTHING to make the situation work and for him to be comfortable, I told him we could pay him more and that we would purchase premium insurance even though our personal insurance covered the car in full, he simply told me to make other arrangements - something he should have told us days before.
